It was in 1983 when, through the setting up of MAP S.r.l., the ambition to manufacture single shaft-type mixers from standardized modular components became reality.
The extraordinary cost effectiveness achieved in the early years of activity soon won the Company a solid position among its main competitors throughout the world. By the end of 1986, MAP® had moved to new premises in Medolla. Located twenty-five kilometres north of Modena, the site offered enough space for expansion. Less than four years later works began to double the production area. At last, in 1992, the first Ploughshare Mixer manufactured on specially designed jigs left the newly designed factory.
Apart from production, in this phase MAP® started not only to invest heavily into an international distribution network but also into the area of research and development of mixing technology.
Because of burgeoning sales, by 1997, the Medolla plant proved too small. As a result, in the autumn of that year the Company moved to Ponte Motta to a specially built 5,000 square metres modern factory. Now cost-effectiveness could be improved even further through rationalized CAD/CAM-supported manufacturing methods, as well as through newly studied logistics.
In 2004 the Company received an entirely new production layout and was incorporated into WAM® as MAP® Division.
Along with the revision of the standardization of the Ploughshare Mixer, MAP® added industrially manufactured Ribbon Blenders, Twin Shaft Paddle Mixers, Conical Screw Mixers, PREMIX® Cement Slurry Mixers, DUSTFIX® Dust Conditioners, and Shaftless Screw Mixers.
